What do you Do when a TERRIBLE STORM CRASHES DOWN on your BOAT??

Well, it depends.  Tonight, we are supposed to have an intense storm cover the area where we are going to stay for the next couple days.... Edgartown Harbor on the island of Marthas Vineyard.    We will have some pictures tomorrow of the tempest, but for now this is what it looks like outside our floating home:

Storm preparation includes the following;

1. Select a storm watch crewmember:

2. Remember it is one year wedding anniversary today.   Prepare a sumptuous meal and chill the celebratory champaign to 30 degrees F.

3. Select a location that has incredibly good protection from the Bay and the 5 foot breaking waves that are forecast.   A nice solid chunk of land like in the picture below works well.  (The bay is at the far left edge of the pic.  Above right is all protected waters.)   We are securely parked, attached to a chain and mooring ball designed to restrain a megayacht just above the epicenter of the picture below.

4. Relax, enjoy huge comfort food meal prepared on the grill and select romantic movie for anniversary night to be watched on the big screen tv.  Sleep well and enjoy the sound of rain on the stateroom roof while the winds hit 30 knots or more and bless the meterological services that do a good job of allowing you to plan far in advance and place yourself in a comfortable spot.
