Near Marconi Beach: note from website: The Marconi Area obtained its name from the famous Italian inventor, Guglielmo Marconi. From a site near here, Marconi successfully completed the first transatlantic wireless communication between the U.S. and England in 1903.

Trail photos:
The sand trail turns to well-made artificial planks with gentle curves, so level and planty wide for crossing traffic. There are normally pools of water among the roots, and there was a bit of rain lately, but we saw very few pools. We are told the pools make it extra pretty, but it was not dry now, but rather green- full of moss, ferns and lichen!
Claire loves ferns and...
moss, like Boom Crowberry
glad they trailmakers left trees to go around
At this time, there were just a few flowers
As we got farther into the trail, car traffic faded away. We are immersed in the beauty and detail of the cedar and oak trees with lichen and pine needles.
