In May 2021, we plan to sail from Delaware City to explore more of the Southern Chesapeake Bay tributaries. In 2020, of the southern rivers, we spent time in:
- St. Mary's River (off Potomac)
- Fleets Bay (north of Rappahannock)
- Rappahannock (south of Potomac)
- Corrotoman ( off Rappahannock)
- Piankatank ( south of Rappahannock)
- Great Wicomico (West of Tangier Island)
Our 2021 goal list includes:
Place = code on map
- Mobjack Bay = Mo
- York River = Y
- James River= J
- Onancock Creek= O
- Tangier Sound T= tiny Tangier Island circled
I can't draw with a mouse! Code scribbles below.
We might come back via the Atlantic and Delaware Bay, forgoing the last 2 or 3 on the list above, essential "doing the DelMarVa" circumnavigation (at least 400 miles for that alone), where we could stop at:
- Lewes, DE
- Cohansey River, NJ = C
Here's where we REALLY Went, so you can follow along:

Removed the old paint on the worst side by carbide blade scraper. We'll do the rest in the Fall.

The day before departing, we put the 2 orange kayaks on the deck. We left the dingy in the bag in the V-berth. Last year, we took the life raft off and have it in storage if we want it again. All the water and gas cans have covers now. We just added 2 water potable cans in case of contamination, the dingy gas can and 2 refills for it and the portable generator.
We filled some small grill propane gas cans from the big one that feeds the stove and heater.
