Martha's Vineyard Harbor - Claire

Sun Jun 2, Either the MV cell service or blogger server is slow and I can't upload the photos I had planned for today.

Time is ticking away, so I'll tell you a few details. I was hoping the advertised water taxi service would be available to take us ashore, but it appears we are too early in the season for their regular schedule. We assembled the dinghy and motored into town.  I have some pics of that too, to share later.

The day started out with super thick fog.  We could hardly see the boat anchored next to us.  As the morning progressed the fog evaporated and the sun appeared for a nice day. As we inflated the dinghy, a TowBoatUS rescue vessel moored next to us.

We motored to Tisbury dinghy dock, which was almost full. We walked the shops and pretty houses resplendent with gardens, a pretty sailboat on a railway, cars lined up for the ferry. We saw Justice anchored in the distance from a hillside park.

We "dinghy toured" the pretty moored wooden boats on the ride back and of course did that thing boaters rarely get to do, which is take photos of their boat from the water. We had a nice chat with the TowBoatUS captain.
