The Final coat of AlexSeal (3rd topcoat)
It looks great from afar. It was a real trick to add the right amount of thinner for the time of day temperature, throughout the day.
Took a while to peel the tape off. The paint made a connection between where the paint needed to stay and the edge of the tape. It peeled of cleanly leaving the paint where it needed to be on the boat. I used a small paring knife to scrape off the tape where the tape stuck to the wood or metal.
After this we painted a new bronzy bootstripe with some bronze Awlgrip we already had. After we peeled off the top and bottom tape, it was gorgeous!
New project: We'll replace the cutlass bearing and realligning the shaft ( oh what fun )
Soon: installing the davits
