We sail in Estuaries



Our home sailing waters are estuarial Chesapeake Bay and Delaware Bay. They are connected by the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal. These waters border Virginia, Maryland, District of Columbia, Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The watersheds extend to West Virginia and New York.

The Chesapeake Bay is the largest estuary in the United States and 3rd largest in the world. It's watershed reaches six states.

An estuary is a water ecosystem spanning freshwater river systems to salt ocean water, supporting an abundance and variety of life at the different levels of salinity, shaped and effected by tides, seasons, weather and mankind.
